Dance has always been a passion for me...
I am never afraid to shine...
When I dance I unblock tension, pain and trauma stored in my body to help me expand into my highest level...
Since childhood, I was madly in love with dancing. I believe dancing is in my blood- whenever I'm happy or sad dance keeps me going.
From being a toddler till today, dance is something which made me passionate and brought the best version of me.
As a ZIN, Zumba fitness is my way of life since the last couple of years. I had been the official Zumba co-ordinator for more the 6 Zumba B1 training in Kolkata. Fitness has elevated me both physically and mentally. I love to train hard, push my limits and refine myself.
I love to train and guide people on the principles of Zumba and spread love, hope, and positive energy.
In order to help people transform as a whole, proper diet and weight management are also needed. I hold a diploma in weight and diet management.
I wish to continue serving with the same energy and enthusiasm!
I have pursued my passion for dancing with several stage performances since I was10 years old. During my IT career, I have performed in several office talents shows whenever I got a chance and bagged awards too. I always wanted to take my passion for dance at the next level and wanted to stay fit at the same time.
I never stopped dancing. I went to the US for project assignments and there I learned ballroom dancing, Zumba etc. I wasn't sure if Zumba was popular in India like the way it is in the United States. After good research, I took the certification from Kolkata ZES Piu Majumder and have started taking classes since then.
Dancing, for me, is my life. I cannot think of anything else rather than my dancing. It's like breathing and I enjoy every bit of it. Dance is what through which I can deal with any toughest moments of my life.
From the very beginning, I had a connection with Dance which increased my interest to know more about this art form. I started my journey at the age of three from "Blooming Bud". Then I got myself trained under Anurag Ghosh from Crafts of Kammotion crew. There I learned a lot about Hip-hop dance. After that, I joined Peddro Salsateca in 2012 and since then my Dance career has been changed.
Dance is a journey for me as I understood it's something which lets me be free from anything and I want to encourage as many people as I can to be themselves or find themselves through dance. I have organised Indak, a dance festival, as one of the convenors of Jadavpur University Dance Forum with Sangram Mukherjee guiding us, which consisted first ever dance conference (organised by student body), competition as well as showcase performances by many known crews of Kolkata like Fullstop, Break Guruz, Takht etc.
Dancing since I was 5.. Sometimes in school and sometimes in cultural programs. The slow and steady progress of my passion in the field of dancing has always pushed me forward to learn and experience new styles.... Found myself excelling at being an all-rounder in various zones of dancing such as hip-hop, contemporary and few more I gradually got in the world of Zumba and finally opted for its instructor certification in 2018.
I, Sayan Ghosh was an under average kid back in my school time. One day back in 2008, I danced for the first time in my school annual concert & found myself passionate about something for the first time and I was very much clear with my view about what I needed to do next to grow as a better dancer, choreographer or artist.
I started my training with various renowned instructor, attended workshops, went for a diploma and tried out different styles to give it 100% attention to grow my career.
Dance has been the best part of my life until now. I don't remember how and when the magic of dance conquered me. It all started when I performed my first solo at 5 years old at my school. A huge crowd calling my name cheering for me and there I started my journey of dance.
Slowly I developed it every day from some lovely people I got on this journey with many faculties like Sangram Mukhopadhay, Raj Shaw, Neha Chaudhuri, Mekhola Bose.
I am a curious person, once I get the interest in anything I will keep chasing until the time I conquer it completely. So this is the story of my dance life.
I got introduced to dance by my grandfather at a very young age, doing Kathak. I kept on learning and exploring. The more I explored, the more level of interest got increased, and later that interest turned into a passion and now my life...
Dance chose me, so I decided and said to myself that- "Yes! This is what I am going to do for the rest of my life.. Since then I started practicing and joined a dance school where I learned contemporary, ballet and jazz for almost 4 years. And, this whole journey of dance for me is a rollercoaster ride, which always goes higher and higher.
My first playlist on which I started moving and grooving to was on the songs of Dil Toh Pagal Hai. I had this cassette back then and I used to play it over and over again. My bed would be the stage and I used to dance my heart out.
My Dad found out one day and I was put into a dance school. Kathak was the first dance form I learned. Then in school, I was introduced to other styles of dancing and different forms of music. Folk, classical, ballroom, street style, my favourite Bollywood and so on. Later in college, I got into the College Dance Team and learned from different artists who would visit our college and performed in many events and fests. My love for Salsa grew during my college days. And I further pursued it.
Every-time I dance, I turn into a better version of me..
I could not adequately describe the way dance makes me feel. It is as though I had somehow found a way to sever the chords holding me to this earth and if only for a fraction of a second ~ I could fly.
I am an artist and I believe everyone is an artist who loves and respects their prefossion. I fell in love with dancing when I was a kid. My dance training began as a B.Boy and then switched to various forms ( locking, popping, house & urban..).
