My first playlist on which I started moving and grooving to was on the songs of Dil Toh Pagal Hai. I had this cassette back then and I used to play it over and over again. My bed would be the stage and I used to dance my heart out.
My Dad found out one day and I was put into a dance school. Kathak was the first dance form I learned. Then in school, I was introduced to other styles of dancing and different forms of music. Folk, classical, ballroom, street style, my favourite Bollywood and so on. Later in college, I got into the College Dance Team and learned from different artists who would visit our college and performed in many events and fests. My love for Salsa grew during my college days. And I further pursued it.
Now I'm a trained Salsa dancer and instructor and also a professional Choreographer. And I keep striving towards growing my skills, being the best version of myself. There will always be so much more to learn and so many more things that one can do. But it is very important to keep practicing what you already know. Polishing skills. Opportunities are unlimited. Some we have to create, some just come to us!
