Hi! I’m Riya Nathan, the proud Center Manager of Twist N Turns Dance Studio in Ballygunge, Kolkata. My professional journey began in December 2023, and joining the Twist N Turns family has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my life. Over the past year, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined—personally and professionally—thanks to the incredibly vibrant and supportive environment of our Ballygunge studio.
Embracing the Energy of Dance
While I don’t have formal dance training, my love for music, rhythm, and movement runs deep. From my very first day at the studio, I felt an immediate connection to the joy and creativity that dance brings into people's lives. Being surrounded by energetic kids, upbeat music, and passionate instructors is not just part of my job—it’s the heartbeat of my daily life.
Every day at Twist N Turns is filled with energy, laughter, and little moments of magic. Seeing children light up as they learn new moves, gain confidence, and express themselves freely is a constant source of motivation for me. It’s a privilege to be part of their journeys—to cheer them on, support their progress, and celebrate their milestones.
Leading with Heart and Purpose
As Center Manager, I see myself as both a leader and a bridge. My role involves coordinating with our talented instructors to ensure their creativity flows smoothly while also building strong, trusting relationships with the families who entrust us with their children’s growth.
I strive to create a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere at the Ballygunge studio—one where every child feels safe, inspired, and valued. Whether it’s managing day-to-day operations, supporting team members, or listening to a parent’s concern, I approach each task with sincerity and care.

My growth in this role wouldn’t have been possible without the remarkable mentorship of Director Tapas Das and Creative Head Nikita Das. Their vision, leadership, and unwavering belief in their team have guided me every step of the way. Under their mentorship, I’ve discovered not just professional skills but also a deeper understanding of purpose and community.
Their guidance has empowered me to step confidently into my role and lead with authenticity and heart. I’m proud to carry their vision forward—to create a space that reflects positivity, passion, and genuine connection.
