Twist N Turns Admission Process & Studio Guidelines

Welcome to the Twist N Turns family — Kolkata’s leading dance studio group with 8 locations and over two decades of dance education. This page covers everything you need to know before joining: how to get started, what to bring, how fees work, and the studio policies that keep our community safe and focused on learning.

How to Join — Step by Step

Getting started at Twist N Turns is simple:

  1. Book a free trial class — visit our free trial page or call 9831018015 to reserve your spot.
  2. Choose your dance form and batch — your trial faculty will recommend the right class based on your age, experience, and goals. Check current class schedules for batch timings.
  3. Complete registration — fill in your details at the front desk on your first paid day.
  4. Pay your first month’s fee — fees are due on joining and monthly thereafter. See pricing for current course rates.
  5. Start dancing — you are now a Twist N Turns member for life.

Membership & Joining Rules

  • Twist N Turns membership is designed to be lifelong. Once you join, you remain a member even after completing a course.
  • Members who complete a course or take a break can rejoin at any time without any additional joining fee.
  • If you choose to discontinue, a minimum three-month gap applies before rejoining.
  • The management reserves the right to cancel a membership due to misconduct, non-payment, or policy violations. Reinstatement is possible but subject to approval.
  • All official communication must be via email or written letter. Verbal communication is not accepted for matters relating to fees, leave, or membership changes.

Class Attire & Etiquette

  • Dress code is mandatory and varies by dance form — your faculty will specify requirements on Day 1.
  • Dance shoes must be carried in a bag and worn only inside the studio. Shoes worn from outside are not permitted on the dance floor.
  • Bring your own water bottle, towel, and deodorant. A change of clothes is recommended for longer sessions.
  • No jewellery or wristwatches during class — they pose a safety risk and can damage floors.
  • Personal belongings are your responsibility. The studio does not take liability for lost or stolen items.

Course Structure & Attendance

Regular Courses (Junior & Senior):

  • Each course consists of 42 classes delivered over 6 or 12 months.
  • Class fees are applicable only for these 42 scheduled classes. No extra or compensatory classes are offered for public national holidays.

Certification Requirement:

  • To earn your Twist N Turns course certificate, you must achieve a minimum of 80% attendance — 39 out of 42 classes.
  • A continuous absence exceeding 30 days may affect certificate eligibility, regardless of overall attendance percentage.

Life happens. Our paid leave system gives you flexibility without losing your place:

  • Paid leave is available up to twice per course (per 6-month or 1-year duration).
  • The charge is Rs. 100 for every 7 days of leave applied.
  • Medical leave requires valid documentation (doctor’s certificate) submitted to the admin office before or immediately after the leave period.

Discontinuation Process

Discontinuation means you will not be returning for at least three months. If you need a shorter break, the paid leave system above applies instead.

To officially discontinue:

  1. Email info@twistnturns.in with your name, batch, and reason for leaving.
  2. The admin will confirm your discontinuation in writing.
  3. All communications must be directed to the admin — do not rely on verbal notices to faculty.

Important: Failure to formally notify the studio may result in outstanding monthly fees being due when you rejoin. The management reserves the right to terminate any membership at its discretion.

Payment & Fee Terms

  • All course fees are subject to applicable GST charges.
  • Registration and class fees are non-refundable and cannot be adjusted once paid.
  • Accepted payment modes: cash, cheque, credit/debit cards, and online payment via our secure gateway.
  • E-receipts are issued for every monthly fee payment. Request a manual receipt at the front desk if needed.
  • Late fees apply after the monthly due date. They may be waived for online payments made within the grace period.
  • Offers, fee structures, and discounts are subject to change without prior notice — contact the admin for the current schedule.
  • Twist N Turns does not take responsibility for disputed or fraudulent card transactions. All such issues must be resolved directly with your bank or card issuer.
  • All fee-related disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Kolkata courts.

Open Course Rules (Punch Card)

For drop-in or open-format courses:

  • Each participant must carry a Punch Card, which must be presented at the Front Desk before every class.
  • If your Punch Card validity expires before you have used all punches, it can be extended for an additional charge.

Child Security

The safety of every child in our studio is paramount:

  • Parents and guardians must present a child’s identity card with a photograph when dropping off or picking up a child.
  • Only authorised adults listed at registration may collect a child without prior written notice to the admin.
