The 2026 wedding floor is a different beast. Every cousin has a phone. Every Reel goes up before the pheras. The choreography has to land in the room and survive a vertical 9:16 crop — clean formations, hooky 30-second beats, a hero moment for the couple, and enough variation that the family WhatsApp group doesn’t see the same eight-count twice.
That’s the brief Twist N Turns has been quietly building toward since 2005. Below is what we’re booking for the 2026–27 season, what’s working, and how to get on our calendar.
What’s trending in 2026 weddings
- The 60-second couple Reel. A short, polished bride-and-groom set — usually one viral hook (Aaj Ki Raat / Sajni / a regional Bengali remix) — choreographed to read perfectly on phone screens. Filmed during rehearsal. Posted same week. This single deliverable is now the most-requested item in our calendar.
- Mashup medleys, not full songs. 4–6 song stitches running 3–4 minutes total. Pace, transitions, and crowd payoff > complexity.
- “Story-arc” Sangeets. Performances ordered as a narrative — how-they-met → the families meet → the proposal → the vidaai tease. Fillers between sets are short interview videos we record during rehearsals.
- Haldi & Mehendi pre-events. Daytime, intimate, folk-meets-Bollywood. Yellow-lehenga group sets to Dholida, Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali, Sajni. Lower-energy choreography that still photographs beautifully.
- Inclusive group sets. Grandparents getting one slow couple sequence. Cousins-only fast set. Aunties’ surprise number. Everyone on stage in the finale.
- Regional pride. Bengali wedding floors are booking Dhaaki drum entries, Probhati fusion, and Rabindra-Nritya touches alongside the Bollywood sets — this is back, strongly, in 2026.
- Sober choreography. Younger couples are reducing alcohol-led numbers. The energy is now on tight formations and lighting, not loose freestyle.

How to start (a short, useful checklist)
- Lock the wedding date and Sangeet date — choreography needs minimum 6–8 weeks; for 50+ dancers, 12 weeks.
- Build the family list. Tick the names whose dancing on stage would genuinely make you happy. Call them. Confirm they can give 4–6 rehearsal hours.
- Drop us 5–8 song ideas. Don’t worry about the order — we’ll build the medley.
- Decide your “Reel moment” — the one 60-second clip that has to look great on Instagram. We choreograph that first, then build outward.
- Tell us the venue — stage size shapes formation count. Smaller mandap = tighter, cleaner shapes. Banquet stage = bigger reveals possible.
Why families pick Twist N Turns
- Two decades, 20,000+ students. Founded 2005. Choreographers who have run hundreds of weddings, not a side hustle.
- Skill-tiered choreography. We split groups by ability within the same number — strong dancers get the harder counts, everyone else gets clean, confident steps. Nobody on stage looks lost.
- Studios across Kolkata. 8 locations — Salt Lake, Ballygunge, New Alipore, Ruby, Dum Dum Park, New Town, Madhyamgram — pick whichever is closest to where the family is staying.
- Reel-aware choreography. Our team shoots and reviews rehearsal video on-camera so you know how it’ll look on social before the day.
- No-discount, no-surprise pricing. Same rate for everyone. Same rate today as last week.
A friend’s or relative’s wedding
If you’re putting together a surprise number for someone else’s wedding, we run small-group sessions — 4 to 50 people — and structure choreography so a few strong dancers carry the hooks while everyone else holds clean formations. Hindi, English, Bengali, regional — pick the song, we’ll make it work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of wedding choreography packages does Twist N Turns offer in 2026?
We offer solo coaching (₹2,500/hr), the new Couple’s Reel package (₹18,000), mini group medleys (₹15,000), full Family Sangeet packages from ₹75,000, and premium end-to-end production from ₹1,50,000. Outstation choreographers are billed at ₹8,000/day plus travel.
How early should I book wedding choreography?
For a couple’s Reel or small group, 6–8 weeks. For a full family Sangeet with 4–6 performances and 20+ dancers, lock us in 10–12 weeks before the date. Peak season (Nov–Feb) books out 4 months in advance.
Can you choreograph for guests who don’t dance at all?
Yes — that’s the whole point. We split groups by ability inside the same set, so confident dancers carry the hooks while non-dancers hold clean formations. Grandparents to four-year-olds, we’ve put everyone on stage.
Do you do Reel-ready choreography for social media?
Yes. The Couple’s Reel package is our most-requested 2026 booking — a 60–90 second set built specifically to read on a 9:16 phone crop, including framing notes for whoever’s filming.
Which dance styles can you mix in?
Bollywood (current and retro), classical Indian (Kathak, Bharatanatyam touches), western (hip hop, contemporary), Latin couple (Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha), folk (Garba, Bhangra, Dhaaki), and Bengali fusion. Most 2026 medleys mix 3–4 of these in a single 4-minute set.
Do you travel outside Kolkata?
Yes — destination weddings, outstation Sangeets, anywhere in India. ₹8,000 per choreographer per day plus travel, accommodation and food. The choreographer works a 6-hour day with a 1-hour break.
Do you offer anchors, scripting, or filler videos?
Yes, in the Premium Family Sangeet package. We script the show flow, brief the anchor, and shoot short rehearsal-footage filler videos that play between sets — a 2026 trend that lifts the whole production.
Will the same price be quoted to everyone?
Yes. We publish one price and hold it. No “festival discounts,” no aunty-rate, no last-minute markups. If two families ask for the same package, they pay the same number.
