A Ballet Educator in Training
Manali Pal is a dedicated dance practitioner and aspiring dance educator with a strong focus on Ballet training and dance pedagogy. She is currently pursuing the Certificate in Dance Teaching from the Royal Academy of Dance, a globally recognised Ballet education institution known for its excellence in teacher training and artistic standards.
Through this programme, Manali is developing a deeper understanding of Ballet teaching methodologies, safe dance practice, student-centred learning, and inclusive teaching approaches. That matters in a studio setting: young dancers need more than steps. They need technique built carefully, confidence developed patiently, and a teacher who understands how to guide different bodies and learning styles.
Contemporary, Jazz, and Movement Exploration
Manali’s Contemporary dance training includes a one-year certification course affiliated with Off Jazz at Rhythmosaic, completed under the guidance of Prasanna Saikia. This experience exposed her to international Contemporary dance techniques, movement exploration, musicality, and performance training.
She continues to expand her skills through ongoing practice in Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz at Mind Body Spirit under Prasanna Saikia. This active practice keeps her movement language current: structured enough for Ballet, open enough for Contemporary exploration, and musical enough to help students feel the difference between counting steps and truly dancing.
Classical Roots: Bharatanatyam and Rabindra Nritya
Alongside her Western dance training, Manali has a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam. She underwent initial training under Nandini Banerjee for 15 years and further trained under Guru Sandhya Muralidharan for 2 years.
She also practised Rabindra Nritya under Guru Nandini Banerjee for 10 years, enriching her artistic expression and her understanding of movement aesthetics across diverse dance traditions. That long classical grounding gives her teaching a valuable balance: precision, discipline, musical sensitivity, and expressive depth.
